There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome Sims Recycling Solutions to the region and celebrate the companys new location in Dallas. The ceremony is scheduled for March 8, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Sims Recycling Solutions facility located at 2134 French Settlement Road, Dallas, TX 75212.
Texas, like many other states in the U.S., has had to develop new strategies for managing end-of-life electronics because they are a rapidly growing source of waste. The Dallas facility is the 14th North American recycling center for Sims Recycling Solutions. The 31,600-square-foot facility provides consumer and business electronics recycling for Texas in support of the Texas Computer Equipment Recycling Program. This program requires electronics manufacturers to recycle a percentage of electronics sold in the state.
